Situated on a 13-acre lakeside property, Lakeside Retreat is a multi-generational family getaway defined by the spirit of play, exploration, and wonder. The site hosts a variety of amenities, including a sports court, movie theater, arcade, saloon, adventure-play ropes course, and swimming hole.

Our team was handed the existing brand identity, which consisted of a logo, a few icons, and a singular brand color. Knowing that our client wanted the brand to live throughout the site and within different contexts, we expanded the brand language - diversifying the color palette, introducing secondary typefaces at select areas, and reimagining the characters as more than just one dimensional icons.

The result is a brand experience that is not only visual, but also spatial - establishing a system that can grow alongside the client, their family, and the property.

The BrandTo create a holistic and interactive experience, our team evolved the preliminary brand identity and extended it into a variety of touch-points throughout the property for visitors to discover.

Guide Maps To welcome visitors and craft the narrative of the site, guide maps were created - one for kids, one for adults. The prints encourage exploration, featuring interactive games and site fun facts inspired by local history (and a little mix of invented lore).

The Saloon Paying homage to the region’s historic western bars, the Saloon is brought to life with a comprehensive array of customized items, from glassware to cocktail menus - and a neon tapping boot.

Feature: The CoastersA set of coasters reimagine the brand’s icons into traditional playing cards - a Joker Bear juggling fish, a honeycomb-suit Queen Bee, and a Lucky 7 card with seven horseshoes. The front and back of the coasters are unified - tied together by the same lasso that spells out the property’s name.

The Arcade Across the Saloon, the 80's-inspired 'Bearcade' invites both kids and the young at heart to play. Curated memorabilia, customized game machines, and a vintage truck-turned-photobooth enrich the narrative of the space, with playful details tucked throughout.
