The Science Centre Singapore wanted a design that elevated the traditional water park experience. More than a field of static structures for kids to climb on, the park had to encourage hands-on exploration, blend play and education seamlessly, and celebrate the cultural significance of water within Singapore.

The solution was to create a water play experience where water itself is the sole instructor, guiding participants through an intuitive, immersive journey without the need for explicit instructions.



The site is zoned into five ‘rooms’, each highlighting a different behavioral attribute of water. The bounding walls mimic the folds of petals, creating points of both enclosure - to optimize immersion - and openings - to prompt a natural journey through the space.
